(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened in dispersed order on Monday, worried about soaring oil prices which poses a new threat to the economy, which could potentially revive inflation.
The Dow Jones index advanced by 0.36% but the NASDAQ, with strong technological coloring, yielded 0.62% and the broader S&P 500 index 0.08%, a few minutes after the opening.
On Friday, Wall Street had ended a turbulent quarter in the green. The NASDAQ had gained 1.74%, the Dow Jones 1.26% and the S&P 500 1.44%.
