A new label to defend regional products. “Made in Occitania” will be launched in the fall of 2022 by the Region. It will target textile, wool and leather products, health, beauty, well-being, fashion, DIY, arts and crafts, home decoration and the bicycle industry. Among the companies that will benefit from this label, Da Rua, a brand created in 2019 by Noémie and André Santibañez, an art craftsman who manufactures sterling silver mesh jewelry. “André learned his know-how in Brazil, in the street from where the name Da Rua which means “of the street” explains his wife Noémie. All our products are made in Lozère. We also rely on companies from Lozère for all that is advertising and communication.”
More visibility
Da Rua has already benefited from the Region’s Crafts Pass, which has enabled it to develop its brand strategy. Thanks to the support of the Region, the company was also able to participate in the Made in France fair in November 2021 in Paris. “We were able to benefit from a stand and be in the midst of lots of big brands. It allowed us to meet lots of new potential customers. The label will allow us to have more visibility with Occitan customers. Tourists can also distinguish between products made in Occitania and others. We feel that it is important for them to consume local.“
The Lozère company Tuffery which manufactures jeans in Florac will also benefit from the new label “Made in Occitanie”
