Victim’s family sues for attempted murder

Four days after the violent clashes in Sainte-Soline (Deux-Sèvres), the state of health of the most seriously injured man is still critical. His parents filed a complaint against X for attempted murder and obstructing rescue. Maître Chloé Chalot, lawyer for the victim’s family, indicates: “The conviction of my clients is the conviction of evidence. A vital prognosis involved, weapons of war used, a massive deployment of force and no medical care in time.“

“We will not send a helicopter”

Between the first call to the SAMU which reports a serious injury and its treatment by an ambulance, nearly an hour and a half has passed. The newspaper Le Monde revealed a telephone exchange between a doctor located on the outskirts of the clashes and the SAMU regulator, based several kilometers away. “We will not send a helicopter or SMUR means on the spot because we have orders not to send any“, we hear in the call. The authorities affirm that high tensions did not allow the intervention of the relief workers. Last Saturday, the SAMU had engaged four teams on the spot. They would have intervened when the security conditions were met. A judicial investigation and two internal investigations must shed light on the conditions of intervention of the relief workers in Sainte-Soline.
