Six months before the start of the Rugby World Cup in France, preparations are accelerating behind the scenes, like the recruitment of volunteers.
This will be the meeting point for all rugby fans. The Place de la Concorde, at the foot of the Obelisk, where the rugby village will be installed, the first visuals of which have just been unveiled by the town hall of Paris. This free oval fanzone, with two giant screens and two rugby pitches, will be able to accommodate up to 10,000 people for the duration of the World Cup. Preparations are accelerating with less than six months to the event. Interviews to recruit volunteers follow one another, as in Saint-Étienne (Loire). “If we can help people who are not from the region, who will come and who know nothing”says an applicant.
600,000 foreign visitors expected
The organizers expect to receive 600,000 foreign visitors to follow the 48 matches of the competition in the nine stadiums in the four corners of France. All tickets have already been sold, the only solution to find a place now: go to the official resale platform.
