The mayor of the town of Le Faulq, in Calvados, was injured on Saturday 23 October from a baton given by a young person involved in an urban rodeo, France Bleu Normandie reported on Sunday 24 October, confirming information from the West newspaper France. Bruno Lethuillier lodged a complaint and an investigation by the gendarmerie was opened.
According to the gendarmes, about fifty young people equipped with scooters and motorcycles had gathered in this small town of 340 inhabitants, north of Lisieux, and were blocking traffic.
The mayor, Bruno Lethuillier, wanted to intervene to stop them and was struck with a baton. He was not taken to hospital. A vehicle was searched.
