After having once again triggered the use of article 49.3 of the Constitution on pension reform, Élisabeth Borne was this Thursday, March 16, 2023, present on the set of the JT of TF1. The opportunity for the Prime Minister to explain herself to Gilles Bouleau about her choice which caused the country to burn.
“It is a collective decision by noting that we could not play the future of an essential reform by speculating on possible changes in the position of opposition deputies” assured Élisabeth Borne. In the middle of the Assembly, she unfortunately had to face the anger of the opposition, which expressed its displeasure by shouting bluntly.
Elisabeth Borne shocked by the behavior of the deputies
What leave the Prime Minister amazed: “I was shocked, I don’t think it was necessarily heard in the microphones but when you have screams, songs, on the side of the deputies of the NUPES, on the side of the deputies of the Rassemblement National who bang on their desks … Cries where you can’t even hear yourself speak, but I remind you that the Parliament, the National Assembly is a place where we debate” she said sorry before adding: “I think that reflects the fact that some opposition groups do not respect our institutions. Some have said it clearly, they want chaos in the Assembly and in the street”.
Not enough to convince the French citizens who hastened to take to the streets to show their rage at this reform which lengthens the working period and moves away the retirement age of millions of people. On Twitter, anger also rumbles over the Prime Minister’s decision.
When you are in shock of something, as a general rule, you do not smile at Mrs. Borne. There, what shocks me is your arrogance and your permanent lies. pic.twitter.com/lV7o5xqKtv

What is shocking is your contempt for democracy @Elisabeth_Borne, it is your refusal to respect the will of the French. You don’t listen to anyone (other than Macron) and you’re shocked that we don’t listen to you? You really take the French for idiots!

Madam @Elisabeth_Borneyou dare to say that you are shocked by what happened in the National Assembly, what do we have to say then, middle class people who work hard for years to eat.
