Canada’s Alexandria Loutitt added another medal to her seasonal tally, winning silver on large hill at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Lillehammer, Norway.
The woman who triumphed in the large hill at the World Championships earlier this month moved from fifth to second place thanks to her second jump on Wednesday. She collected a total of 242.9 points for her two jumps and just edged Austrian Eva Pinkelnig by an eighth of a point.
Germany’s Katharina Althaus won the gold, with a score of 251.1 points.
Alberta’s Abigail Strate took the 12the rank.
Alexandria Loutitt became the first Canadian to win a ski jumping World Cup stage in January in Japan. She is also the first Canadian world champion in ski jumping.
