Last Thursday, Rioland announced his arrival in Creuse, with the creation of 250 jobs. Barely four days later, the leaders of the leather goods group reviewed their copy and raised their ambitions at La Souterraine.
Through its Human Resources Director Isabelle Bordier, Rioland announces a plan to create some 350 jobs. “We are going to create a logistics activity, in a building which is located near the main building.”
42 new hires from April 2022
To manage applications, Pôle Emploi will create a specific platform, where “all applications are welcome,” assures Joseph Luciani, the director of employment in the department.
Initially, 42 people will be recruited and trained (“for at least two months”, according to Isabelle Bordier), from April 2022. Production will start in September, in temporary premises located in the business incubator. Then, hiring will be spread over 5 years, at a rate of around sixty each year.
A site to be brought up to standard
The site, which belongs to the De Fursac group, will be bought by the Pays Sostranien. The buildings will then be brought up to standard: roofing to be redone, asbestos removal, drilling of openings so that employees can work in daylight. Total cost of investments : 4 million euros, co-financed by the Region (2M €) and the State (1.2M €).
