Very early in the morning of Sunday March 12, even before the first departures of competitors at the French canicross championship in Vauvert (Gard)three participating dogs died after ingesting apparently poisoned meatballs. “The Federation veterinary team was there. (…) They immediately went to see what was going on and took care of the three affected dogs”testifies Émilie Lucas, organizer of the competition. The three animals could not be saved.
