Since September 2022, it has been the unmissable Saturday evening meeting on the public service. Léa Salamé, but also Christophe Dechavanne, Philippe Caverivière and Paul de Saint-Sernin discuss and comment on various current cultural, societal and media topics depending on the guests invited to the set of What an era!on France 2. This Saturday, March 11, 2023, the talk show had notably invited one of the leading faces of this same channel in the person of Elice Lucet, who came to talk about the 10 years of Cash Investigation, as well as Sonia Mabrouk presenting her latest book Reclaiming the Sacred, published by L’Observatoire, officiating on CNews And European 1. And between the two journalistic personalities, each known for not speaking the language of wood, the dialogue quickly turned into a game. The challenge ? An in-depth investigation behind the scenes of television groups… Finally, on France Télévisions for Sonia Mabrouk. And why not on CNews according to Elice Lucet! Each defending its parish of course…

“Since you are the patroness of the investigation…”
A bit sardonic, Sonia Mabrouk attacks the first. She is indeed launching for the attention of the one known to be “the queen of the investigation” and the nightmare of big bosses, a not insignificant idea for a report…
“I am waiting for a Cash Investigation on France Télévisions“simply trying to destabilize her colleague and test her sense of impartiality. “I would like to but there is not much to do or say…” tries to answer the latter immediately cut off, “You are sure ?” “Certain. I’m here…” “Let’s investigate…” lThe exchange is lively and chaotic. Stung, Elice Lucet nevertheless manages to answer: “Don’t worry Sonia, indeed I am watching what is happening on France Télévisions and I can tell you that if there were things to say, i would say it very frankly, on the way France Télévisions works. The abuses that I have observed in the companies we have investigated do not occur at France Télévisions. I’m sorry for you…” she finally says. The journalist from CNews the comeback :“I trust you perfectly but I say that an independent investigation would be worth it and who could confirm your statements tonight…” “Well, launch it!” immediately replies the investigator of France 2. “I am not on the public service me… Since you are the boss of the investigation that you do it on France Télévisions”, insists the writer. “But go ahead, please Sonia”reiterates Elice Lucet, visibly exasperated by the impertinent little tone of her colleague who persists: “I think it’s more interesting than with your means, but I can take part if it’s an invitation…” Puzzled, she replies: “But you’re talking about an independent team so you shouldn’t a team from France Télévisions, we would need an external team” she points out as an inconsistency of remarks. “No, I consider you independent…” finally concludes Sonia Mabrouk, calming things down. But that was without counting on Léa Salamé who spices up and revives the discussion: “Can a CNews journalist investigate Bolloré?” “But of course…” affirms the employee of the latter before being interrupted by the sound growl of Christophe Dechavanne meaning “it would surprise me” making everyone laugh. Pugnacious, Sonia Mabrouk returns to the ring: “Who is the representative of the investigation right here this evening?” she lets go, just to put Elise Lucet back at the center of her concerns. The latter then responds tit for tat and laughing: “Ah, you want me to investigate CNews?”.
A real pass of arms which finally says a lot about the tensions between the groups, private and public, and especially about the brotherly rivalries… To sum up the comments of the Internet users: “They can’t hurt each other!”
