A shooting erupted on the evening of Thursday March 9 at a Jehovah’s Witnesses center in Hamburg, Germany, killing eight people, including the alleged shooter. Here is the point on the unfolding of the facts.
Panic, just minutes after the killing. At around 9:15 p.m., a man opened fire at a center of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hamburg, Germany. The font describes “a bloodbath”. On an amateur video filmed by a neighbor, we can first hear gunshots and then we see a man with a gun positioned in front of one of the windows of the three-storey building.
The assailant turned the gun on himself
After shooting through the window, the assailant entered the building to continue his massacre. Jehovah’s Witnesses had been gathered there for about two hours for a Bible study meeting. After the arrival at the scene of the police, the shooter took refuge in the floors where he killed himself. According to the German press, it would be a former member of Jehovah’s Witnesses in his thirties.
