ICI Première persists and signs with a new “historic breakthrough” in the polls, while 98.5 FM continues to dominate the airwaves of metropolitan radio. This is revealed by the latest probe from the firm Numeris, unveiled on Wednesday, which covers the period from November 28, 2022 to February 26, 2023.
Cogeco’s antenna therefore continues to sit at the top of the list of the most listened-to stations in French-speaking Greater Montreal with 22.7% of listening shares, a result practically identical to its score last winter (22.8). And it’s still Paul Arcand’s morning show, Since you have to get upwhich is number one, all time blocks combined.
“With 1.8 million listeners each week and more than 1.6 million people who consult the 98.5 site, we have confirmation that listeners here want content that is fair and adapted to their reality”, reacted Julie-Christine Gagnon, programming director of 98.5, by way of press release.
The eternal king of morning waves is followed in this slot by All one morning on HERE Premiere. The program hosted by Patrick Masbourian ranks seventh on the list of the most listened to radio shows in Montreal.
Moreover, ICI Première radio (95.1 FM) is delighted to have established a “historic record”, “all seasons combined”, with 18.3% of the listening share (tied with the winter 2022). For its part, ICI Musique recorded an increase of 3.4 points compared to winter 2020, and obtained 5.8% of the listening shares.
The public broadcaster has 6 of the 10 most listened to programs in Greater Montreal, including 4 in the top 5 : See you next week (2e position), the Saturday edition of Draw me a morning (3e position), Noon info (4e location) and Penelope (5e position).

As for Montreal music stations, Rythme FM (105.7FM) dominates and does very well with 13.5% of listening shares, up one point compared to winter 2022, and is in 3e place in the list of stations. The channel is followed, among others, in order by Rouge (7.8%), Énergie (7.6%), CKOI (6.5%) and ICI Musique (5.8%).
