A few hours before the broadcast of a new episode of “The Voice”, TF1 has just unveiled a new extract from the next blind auditions. This Saturday March 11, 2023, viewers will thus meet Charles Cattaert, a candidate who is the father of a little boy named Lucien. By interpreting “Fais moi une place”, famous song by Julien Clerc, wishes to pay a beautiful tribute to his son who is suffering from a very rare disease having caused a loss of hearing.
We also learn that since he was three years old, the little boy no longer speaks and is also partially sighted, which prevents him from being able to move properly. Faced with the illness of their son, Charles and his wife created an association called “La petite bulle de Lulu” in order to raise funds. His wife will also be on stage to translate the words sung by Charles into sign language… all for their son Lucien.

Amel Bent: reunion with his former comrade from “Nouvelle Star”
As our colleagues from Télé-Loisirs point out, Charles is no stranger to the small screen since he participated in the program “Nouvelle Star” when he was 19… with Amel Bent! Having become a renowned singer and juror of this new season of “The Voice”, the latter will have a hard time remembering her former classmate. “I told her that we knew each other because I had been waiting for a reaction from her until then, but there had been none at all! When I told her, her eyes widened and she confirmed. It was funny as a situation. I had to do it, it would have been a shame not to have this little wink “said Charles.
The one who had reached the quarter-finals of the flagship program of the M6 channel adds: “With Amel, we got along very well in New star but we weren’t friends. She was good friends with some older people in the class, but we had some fun times.”
