“Corinne Deacon has only one goal: to remain coach of the French women’s team”, says his lawyer Christophe Ayela exclusively on Wednesday March 8 on franceinfo. He assures that she “refuses to participate in the media storm” and that is why it took ten days before breaking the silence, after the withdrawal of three emblematic players from the French football team.

“There’s no reason it shouldn’t be maintained at the head of the French team”assures the lawyer, while the executive committee (Comex) of the French Football Federation meets this Thursday, March 9 to decide the fate of the coach of the Blue.

“There is no grievance against her today,” insists Christophe Ayela. “There is no breaking point” with the players. Corinne Deacon’s adviser stresses that the players, who have communicated, have above all “pointed out the lack of resources” to the Federation.

Christophe Ayela ensures that Jean-Michel Aulas, member of the Comex, had “reassuring and soothing words” during the hearing of the coach on Tuesday March 7 by the members of the federal commission, in particular by the president of Olympique Lyonnais. “He indicated that he could be objective and impartial” concerning the fate of the coach, “almost regretting having made public remarks even before this commission was held”.
