A vehicle caught fire on Highway 15 in Blainville, in the Laurentians, on Wednesday morning.
The motorist was traveling northbound on Highway 15 when, for a still unknown reason, his vehicle suddenly caught fire shortly after 6 a.m. near Blainville.
In a panic, the driver left his vehicle on his own without causing a collision on this motorway, which was not yet busy at this time of day.
Thick black smoke billowing from the flaming vehicle was visible from afar, as flames engulfed the front of the car.
A lane of Highway 15 has been cut off from traffic, Transport Quebec said on Twitter.
