While Emmanuel Macron must pay a national tribute this Wednesday to the lawyer and great feminist figure Gisèle Halimi, who died in 2020, Marine Tondelier, national secretary of EELV, assures France Inter that we “can’t help but see a little opportunism” from the Head of State.

The national secretary of EELV thus believes that “the most beautiful way in which Emmanuel Macron could pay tribute to Gisèle Halimi is by putting abortion in the Constitution and withdrawing his pension reform“. She considers that “women will be the first victims” of this text. “They have on average 26% less salary than men and 40% [en moins] retired”explains Marine Tondelier. “This reform, women will pay the heaviest price”she protests.
