“Mon crime”, the latest film by François Ozon, immerses the viewer in the middle of the 1930s in a rhythmic comedy with words far from being frozen in the last century.
To avoid being on the street, a young actress has a Machiavellian plan: to accuse herself of a murder she did not commit. Stealing a crime is not trivial, and that leads to François Ozon, director, a wacky comedy, a jubilant whirlwind led at a beating drum. “In comedy, the most important thing is the rhythm, launches François Ozon. You don’t have to waste time and you have to make people laugh, so that’s very complicated. If it doesn’t make you laugh, it’s missed (…) It’s a work of goldsmith.”

In this dive into the 1930s, François Ozon dots his screenplay with nods to today’s society.
