The wallaby, escaped from its owner for several days, was found by firefighters this Saturday morning after several days of research, reports France Bleu Paris.
The marsupial was found in a garden in Samois-sur-Seine (Seine-et-Marne), near Fontainebleau. Around 7:30 a.m., the owners of the house discovered the animal in their garden and therefore alerted the firefighters who intervened quickly. Six firefighters were mobilized to capture the animal and bring it back, safe and sound, to its owner.
The wallaby had escaped from its enclosure several days ago and had been seen several times on March 2, at the level of the commune of Avon, near Fontainebleau. The animal had also been reported near the tracks of the R line of the Transilien.
