Drifts of snow are still expected in Quebec on Saturday, while the mercury will remain below zero for the entire weekend, as indicated by Environment Canada.
It is in fact almost all the regions of the west and center of the province that will see snowflakes fall with the exception of the greater region of Quebec, the North of Chaudière-Appalaches and Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean . Accumulations will vary between five and 10 centimeters, by region.
The clouds will be present in the sky for the spared regions, which will however not escape the freezing cold: a wind chill of -13 is to be expected for the Capitale-Nationale, while it will reach -28 in Saguenay – Lac-Saint -Jeans. Risks of frostbite are to be expected for these regions.
As for the east, clouds will also dot the sky over the Bas-Saint-Laurent. Extreme cold can also be expected for these regions: the wind chill will remain below -19 throughout the territory. However, the sun can be seen in Gaspésie as well as on the North Shore.
