An essential face of the M6 channel for many decades, Bernard de La Villardière is notably known for being at the head of the magazine “Enquête Exclusive” for nearly 20 years. An essential format of the sixth channel with which he juggles on a daily basis with his own production company called “Ligne de front”. A now family business since the 64-year-old journalist has chosen to recruit two of his children: Caroline, 36, who is responsible for development and Marc, 34, who is the editor-in-chief.
A life of family work on which the children of Bernard de la Villardière agreed to testify during an interview granted to Gala Thursday, March 2, 2023… And the least we can say is that they didn’t mince words about their father/boss!
“My father is demanding. It sometimes goes into the rounds”, revealed Marc. A picky side that the eldest does not necessarily appreciate: “I take it badly in the second and then I know that it passes to him”she tempered.
“It’s like when he was straddling our school report cards, he got angry, since he disappeared on a report for three weeks and it fell, until the next report”added Caroline. “We all argue. It’s pretty healthy.” concluded the younger.

A fiery temper
Very involved in the education of his children, Bernard de La Villardière could not help but cut his son off when the latter told a particularly amusing anecdote while they were on vacation: “I remember one day on the beach when he absolutely wanted to know what I wanted to go for, giving me career paths, as a train driver, parachutist…”began the young man. “You answered me after a long, provocative silence: ‘I want to work in an office.’ I was furious! “, reacted Bernard de la Villardière. A visibly intact memory for the father and the son, fortunately for the journalist, the latter no longer has to worry about it. “He now benefits from his success, is more peaceful and places himself more in the transmission”, concluded his daughter. It remains to be seen whether Rémi (31) and Nicolas (30) will also join the family business…
