The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrested two Vaudreuil-Dorion men accused of firearms trafficking. The federal police force claims to have also seized a large arsenal of weapons and ammunition.
Jordan and Joshua Madden, 29 and 31 respectively, face seven counts related to the possession, storage, trafficking and transfer of firearms. They are due to appear at the Valleyfield courthouse on Friday.
The police claim to have seized 37 firearms, weapon parts and military accessories, more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition, some 200 high-capacity magazines, as well as equipment associated with far-right ideologies. The National Firearms Law Enforcement Support Team (ENSALA) also intervened on the spot because of the size of the arsenal, specifies the RCMP.
The RCMP began its investigation on November 22 after the interception of a package by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Working with Canada Post, the RCMP was able to identify a pattern of suspicious activity related to packages destined for Jordan and Joshua Madden. These came in particular from firearms and military equipment businesses.

Some 37 firearms were seized by the federal police.
According to the investigation, the defendants sourced their supplies from various online platforms from legitimate companies and illegal sellers internationally. The weapons were then sold on the Canadian black market.
After gathering information on the two men and their alleged activities, the Integrated National Security Team (INSET) made a major firearms seizure at their Vaudreuil-Dorion residence on November 30 to “neutralize their illegal activities”. This is what led to the discovery of their imposing arms depot.
