Notre-Dame cathedral, in the heart of Paris, is still under construction, but it is possible to visit it in another way. Under the forecourt, an exhibition retraces the 800-year history of the building with the help of virtual reality.

A real time machine in the heart of Notre-Dame. From the beginnings of its construction, through the installation of the stained glass windows to form the colored rosettes, to the framework nicknamed the forest, virtual reality offers the possibility of a striking visit. “We really believe we are there, we are even afraid to move forward where there are depths”, says a virtual visitor. An immersive experience first installed in La Défense which is now experienced as close as possible to the premises, under the forecourt of the cathedral. Six months of work have transformed this car park into a playground to retrace 800 years of history.
