Noël Le Graët resigns from his position as president of the FFF

Noël Le Graët resigned as president of the French Football Federation on Tuesday 28 February. After several months of controversy, a page is turning for the 81-year-old Breton. Noël Le Graët, accused of harassment, was overwhelmed by an audit mission commissioned by the Ministry of Sports.

“He no longer has the necessary legitimacy”

“Given his seriously inappropriate behavior with women, failures (…) he no longer has the necessary legitimacy to administer and represent French football”, explained on February 15 Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, Minister of Sports. For years, Noël Le Graët pulled the strings of French football and was elected president of the federation in June 2011. Among his successes, the choice of Didier Deschamps, the man with the three finals and the world title in 2018. For Jean-Michel Aulas, member of the executive committee of the FFF, French football has also been enriched thanks to Noël Le Graët.
