“MG France’s management committee has voted and expressed itself 100% against” the medical convention proposed by Health Insurance, announces the first union among general practitioners on Sunday February 26 on Twitter.
On Tuesday 21, the National Health Insurance Fund proposed to increase the price of the consultation from 25 to 30 euros, but only on condition of respecting the “territorial commitment contract”. It requires practitioners to commit to three subjects: increasing the medical supply, financial access to care and meeting the care needs of the territory. For those who refuse to join, the consultation would only increase to 26.50 euros.
Without the agreement of at least one union representing at least 30% of the votes in the last elections, by Tuesday, this new medical convention cannot be adopted. In this case, Health Insurance will rely on Annick Morel, former general inspector of social affairs, to write the future text. She was appointed arbitrator.
