Final version of the school map expected before the end of March
For rural mayors, school is the survival of their village. Class closures are decided academy by academy, depending on the number of students. The demographic decline since 2016 would explain these deletions. According to the Ministry of National Education, at the start of the next school year, there will be 64,000 fewer students in schools. Consequence: 1,500 teaching posts cut in the first and second degree. In Paris, nearly 184 classes are at risk of closing. The academies must submit their final version of the school map before the end of March. Adjustments may still take place until the next school year.
