Indochine, Orelsan, Lomepal or even Fatoumata Diawara, Pomme and Jeanne Added, these are the headliners of the Eurockéennes de Belfort unveiled on Thursday February 23 on the site of the festival which will celebrate its 33rd edition from June 29 to July 2.
If the Grande Scène will welcome some behemoths like Orelsan, on Friday June 30, and Indochine on Sunday July 2 at the end, for this new edition, there will also be dance, creations, plastic arts, indicates Thursday on franceinfo Jean- Paul Roland, director of the Eurockéennes: “It’s important because we find ourselves in festivals where people don’t come just for a group. We have a duty to promote emerging talents, to show the crossroads of disciplines.”
Niska and Phoenix for opening night
This year, the Eurockéennes also want to make room for female voices. Fatoumata Diawara will perform on Thursday June 29, the opening day of the festival. On Saturday July 1, there will be Lous and the Yakuza, Larkin Poe (American group led by the two sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell), Jeanne Added and Pomme. For the opening night, there will also be Niska, Phoenix, Shaka Ponk and Skrillex.
The 2022 edition had been cut by two days, including the opening night. Cancellations due to storms that injured seven. Festival-goers are therefore expected this year, with a certain idea of a modern festival that Eurockéennes want to embody: music, celebration, discovery but also inclusiveness and respect for the environment.
