“We don’t let anything go”assures Gabriel Attal this Thursday on franceinfo, about fraud on antigenic tests. “58 million euros have been recovered” with the checks carried out in “360 pharmacies for which we had a fairly serious doubt” on possible fraud in antigenic screening tests for Covid-19, announces the Minister in charge of Public Accounts. Last July, 34 pharmacies have already been accused by Health Insurance of having embezzled 53 million euros

This time, these checks paid off in 65 of these 360 ​​pharmacies. “Still on the health insurance fraud, we deconventioned two health centers, especially in dentistry and ophthalmology”, adds Gabriel Attal. In these centers, “there were acts that were billed to the Health Insurance when they did not correspond to acts actually performed”he is indignant.

The minister promises to do even more, and not just on social fraud, with a comprehensive plan. “In this plan, we are working on having a much finer evaluation system” of these frauds. With regard to tax evasion, he points out that the “struggle” carried out by the services of his ministry “produced record results” in 2022, with “14.6 billion euros in duties collected”, i.e. 1.2 billion euros more than the previous year, which was already a record. “Fraud is stealing” and it is “demoralizing for millions of French people who go to work every day”denounces Gabriel Attal.
