War in Ukraine: Vladimir Putin present at a concert in tribute to Russian fighters

In the largest stadium in Moscow (Russia), the Russian flags were out and the national anthem sounded on Wednesday February 22. A big concert was organized there on the eve of the public holiday on Thursday, when the Russians are called to celebrate the “defenders of the fatherland”. Vladimir Putin was present during this concert which was marked by a tribute to the fighters of the Russian offensive in Ukraine.

A carefully organized event

A year after the start of the war, Vladimir Putin wanted to give the image of a country united behind its leader. “When we are together, no one equals us”did he declare. To ensure that the images are perfect, everything has been carefully organized. Schools have brought their students, and companies their employees. In front of the cameras of France Télévisions, all say they are patriots, but their answers are less certain about the offensive in Ukraine. “I support peace all over the planet”said a Russian before leaving. “In Russia, it is forbidden to say that one is opposed to war.
