Huguette Delisle has not said her last word. The caïd of Sainte-Foy will be back for a third – and final – season of the series That’s how I love you.
Radio-Canada announced Monday the return of the popular series. The eight episodes will be broadcast on Tou.TV extra in 2023-2024.
This final season will take place under the seal of revenge for the character of Huguette, played by Marilyn Castonguay. In the summer of 1976, sexism returned to Sainte-Foy, as Montreal organized crime held the city under its yoke. Huguette, who had traded the rifle for the apron, will she dare to plunge back into crime to save her honor and fight the ambient machismo. With her acolytes Gaétan, Micheline, Serge and Marie-Josée, will Huguette have the courage to go down to Montreal in this Olympic year to track down the invader?
Dany Meloul, director general of television at Radio-Canada, said in a press release: “ That’s how I love you is truly of the caliber of cult series. Its first two seasons have won numerous awards, been noticed at numerous international events and the series is, among other things, the first Canadian fiction series selected at the Berlinale. It is therefore with great pleasure that we will discover the last jolts of this irresistible incredible story which will find its conclusion at the end of this 3e season. »
Still written by François Létourneau, this final season will be directed by François Létourneau and Patrice Robitaille.
Producers Joanne Forgues and Catherine Faucher also said: “ That’s how I love you is a fantastic adventure that has won the enthusiasm of the public here as well as that of the international market. The series has been sold in the United States, Israel, France, Spain, Germany, Scandinavian countries and English Canada. After two seasons that immersed us in a crazy, historical and feminist universe, it is with great excitement and haste that we begin the production of the last season, where the earthy characters imagined by François Létourneau will pursue their destiny. »
