Trip to Venice, which is currently celebrating its carnival. Many French people have become faithful to this meeting, with costumes and parades, but also these festivals which are organized in the palaces of the city of the Doges.
For most of the 500,000 visitors who flock here each year, Venice Carnival is all about it: whimsical parades, and photo ops all over the city. “The costumes are magnificent, the sea, the gondolas…”says a Frenchwoman. “You feel like you’re in an imaginary world”, adds a woman. But behind the masks and the facades of palaces, during carnival, there is a more secret Venice, which only reveals itself at sunset.

This evening, this Frenchwoman, Venetian by adoption, is organizing an 18th century costume dinner with 30 guests. Friends, passionate like her about period costumes. Already done and powdered, she brings the final touches to the scenography of the evening. This palace, of baroque inspiration, seems an ideal setting to remember the Venetian art of living.
