A man was shot and injured in a restaurant in Laval on Thursday evening.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the Rubs BBQ Americain restaurant located on Dagenais Boulevard West.
According to preliminary information, a suspect would have entered the restaurant and would have shot in the direction of the victim, a man in his forties.
“The victim was hit by more than one projectile, but there is no danger to his life. She was taken to a hospital,” said Stéphanie Beshara, spokesperson for the Laval Police Department.
The suspect or suspects fled, she said, adding that investigators are still trying to find out how many people were involved in the shooting.
A security perimeter was erected to allow analysis of the scene.
