(Laval) A funeral will be held this Thursday for one of the two young children killed when a Société de transport de Laval (STL) bus hit a daycare center head-on last week.
The ceremony in honor of 4-year-old Jacob Gauthier is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Sainte-Rose-de-Lima church, about two kilometers from the scene of the February 8 tragedy.
The collision at the Ste-Rose Educational Daycare also claimed the life of 5-year-old Maëva David, in addition to injuring six.
Details surrounding Maëva David’s funeral have not yet been announced.
Pierre Ny St-Amand, an STL driver, was arrested at the scene of the tragedy. The 51-year-old faces nine counts, including two of premeditated murder, one of attempted murder, as well as aggravated assault.
