Major cocaine trafficking network dismantled

A major police operation is underway in several cities in Quebec, in connection with a pan-Canadian cocaine trafficking network.

The Sûreté du Québec and its partners, the Service de police de la Ville de Québec, the Service de police de la Ville de Saguenay and that of Abbotsford in British Columbia aim to arrest 13 people with this dragnet.

It is the largest cocaine distribution network in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. The targeted traffickers are linked to the Hells Angels, according to Sergeant Hugues Beaulieu of the SQ.
