The former president of the Football Center League, Jacky Fortepaule, was sentenced on Tuesday February 14 by the Orleans Court of Appeal to a one-year suspended prison sentence and a fine of 1,500 euros, for moral and sexual harassment. , according to a deliberation that France Bleu Orléans was able to consult. He is sentenced to the same sentence as in the first instance.

Jacky Fortepaule is found guilty of moral and sexual harassment against six employees. Four women and two men accused him of impulsive and angry behavior, inappropriate remarks of a sexist and sexual nature. Some complainants had also denounced erotic emails from their former boss.

The man denies the facts

The 76-year-old man denied all the facts on the stand, defending the conspiracy thesis during the hearing on December 12. He assured that the plaintiffs had “all were manipulated”.

Jacky Fortepaule is also ordered to pay 20,000 euros in damages to all six plaintiffs (i.e. from 4,000 to 2,000 euros each).

The Orléans Court of Appeal also imposed an additional sentence, namely the publication of the conviction in the regional newspaper The Republic of the Center and the monthly magazine France Soccer. The judgment must also be posted on a sign in the Football Center League for two months.
