After a narrow victory against Italy, Fabien Galtier’s Blues lost on Saturday, February 11, against Ireland.

Antoine Dupont’s France has its small reputation, of the tenacious type, undefeated for a year and a half and 14 games. But all good things must end. Saturday February 11, Ireland showed that they were indeed the best team in the world on the pitch. In the 9th minute of play, Keenan pierced the blue curtain, a first burst of a half of rare intensity. But France is not impressed.

Facing Scotland again

Barely time to breathe, the Irish are back. Ball on the wing, the opportunity is too good: Damien Penaud throws himself, Lowe flattens and it’s validated. Despite appearances, it is the French who are jostled. Uini Antonio, 147kg, is sent off 10 minutes for a dangerous tackle, then the Greens add a third try just before the end of the first half. The Blues will never come back in front. Four tries conceded, defeat 32 to 19. The next match of the Blues will take place on Sunday February 19 against Scotland, at the Stade de France.
