11:49 : “This gives the government time to hear the demands of the French”and to withdraw the pension reform project, justifies Laurent Berger, who announces that the inter-union will meet again on February 16, at the end of the next day of national demonstration.
12:25 p.m. : The inter-union gives a press conference, at the Labor Exchange, in Paris, to discuss the continuation of the opposition movement to the pension reform. Unions are ready to “bring France to a standstill” March 7, they say.

11:26 : Massive strike by air traffic controllers at Orly… Without notice. At the moment 3 flights (take-off and landing) are authorized per hour.
11:26 : Just for information, the switchmen’s strike is disrupting Orly today. I’m on the plane for Calvi and we have to wait for a slot to take off. It can last from 15 minutes to 3 hours depending on our pilot. However, no disturbance was announced
11:04 am : “It is inconceivable that in the midst of a battle over pensions, the macronists have the audacity to twist the internal regulations to the point of excluding an opponent.”
MP LFI Raquel Garrido denounces a “abuse of power” after the temporary exclusion from the Assembly of his colleague Thomas Portes, for a tweet targeting the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt.
11:01 a.m. : Good morning @Paul, here is the route of the Parisian demonstration, mapped by France 3 Ile-de-France. For other places of mobilization elsewhere in France, do not hesitate to consult the page of your local France 3 on our site.
10:48 : What is the route of the event in Paris?
11:02 : “The account is not there”, believes Xavier Bertrand on France Inter. The LR president of the Hauts-de-France region denounced “the moment” chosen by the government to implement its reform, just like “the bottom” Bill. He assures that he would vote for the reform “on three conditions” : full-rate retirement from the age of 43 for those who started working before the age of 21, the end of special schemes and, finally, the possibility for women who have not had a full career to leave retirement “two years earlier than today’s 67”.
11:02 : The retirement age at 64, and not at 65 as the government wanted, the minimum pension at 1,200 euros extended to current retirees… Since the beginning of the debates around the pension reform, Les Républicains tend rather to “soften” the reform proposed by the executive than to make it economically more “hard”. In this article, we decipher LR’s strategy. (LUDOVIC MARIN / AFP)
11:04 am : “During my first descent, in 1939, I took at least 70 bowls, I counted them!”
At almost 96 years old, Lisette Kempf continues to ski with her husband, also in his nineties, reports France 3 Grand Est. “The mountain, mountaineering, is the transmission of another world, far from finance, money or politics. It is nature, the sense of effort and friendship.“
10:13 a.m. : This day is also important for opponents of the text because it closes a first cycle of mobilization, according to trade union specialist Pierre Rouxel. From now on, the centrals have their eyes fixed on the month of March and a probable intensification of the social movement. “The more time passes, the more the idea that demonstrations of force must lead the government to back down will be questioned within the intersyndicale”believes the lecturer in political science.
10:11 a.m. : “The objective is to have people on the street with whom we have no contact.”
For this atypical day, during school holidays, the unions will try to correct a slight decline in their mobilization observed on Tuesday, but without resorting to a strike, in order to maintain the support of a majority of French people. “Public opinion is an element of strength”recognizes moreover Yvan Ricordeau, “Mister pensions” at the CFDT.
11:10 a.m. : After January 19, January 31 and February 7, unions called for a new national day of action today. This is also the first time that opponents of the text are called to march on a Saturday. I explain in this article why this day is of particular importance in the current mobilization. 11:11 a.m. : Insubordinate France denounces “unacceptable punishment” inflicted on MP Thomas Portes, excluded 15 days from the Assembly for having tweeted a photo of him treading on a balloon bearing the image of the Minister of Labour, Olivier Dussopt. In a press release, the party mentions “a brutal way to take away a voice from the opposition” in the midst of a debate on pension reform.
11:12 a.m. : Hello, the SNCF special scheme has already been reformed in 2018. Since January 1, 2020, new hires are affiliated with the general scheme, as will be the case for the other special schemes if the reform pensions pass in the state. Those who were already working at the SNCF at the time keep their initial regime: this is called “the grandfather clause”.
09:43 : Special diet? And the SNCF?
09:34 : Hello, the government’s plan provides that new recruits at the RATP, in the electricity and gas industries (EDF, Engie, etc.), at the Banque de France, notary clerks and members of the Economic, Social and environment (Cese) are now affiliated to the general scheme. On the other hand, the autonomous regimes (liberal professions, lawyers, senators), and those very specific (sailors, Paris Opera, French Comedy), will continue to exist.
09:32 : most special diets? who escapes it?
11:12 a.m. : Hello, the Assembly voted (181 votes for, 163 against), yesterday, the progressive extinction of most of the special schemes, provided for in the first article of the pension reform, thanks to the votes of the deputies of the Republicans. This measure will only come into force if the whole text is definitively adopted.
09:21 : Hello, Do we have information about special diets. Are they maintained?
