American League | The Rocket win in the third period and defeat the Crunch 3-1

(Laval) The Laval Rocket scored two goals in the third period to win 3-1 against the Syracuse Crunch on Friday night.

It was the Rocket’s first game since the American Hockey League (AHL) All-Star Weekend festivities, which were held in Laval.

The Crunch were the first team to score, but Joel Teasdale’s first goal of the game in the dying seconds of the first period tied the game.

The visitors then dominated the second period with 20 shots against 11. The Rocket took advantage of their chances down the stretch of the game, scoring two goals on only six shots to take the victory.

Teasdale completed his brace in an empty net.

Mitchell Stephens was the Rocket’s other scorer.

The Crunch has now lost its last three games.

The Rocket will host Utica on Saturday night. The club will then try to collect a third victory in a row.
