Who will succeed Orelsan? Grand winner of the 37th edition, in 2022, with three Victories, Aurélien Cotentin, his real name, is named in three categories during the 38th edition of the annual ceremony of French-speaking music, Friday February 10 at the musical Seine, in Boulogne -Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine). But the Caen rapper found it stronger this year with Stromae, named four times. The Belgian artist, already holder of five Victories, had returned to this high mass last year, being its honorary president. Among women, Angèle is nominated three times and notably aims for the Victory of the female artist against Izïa and Pomme. Follow the ceremony live from 9:10 p.m. on France 2.
Stromae in force. With four nominations, Paul Van Haver is making a strong comeback after a nine-year discographic hiatus following a burn-out. Stromae is notably opposed to the rappers Bigflo & Oli and the trio “Ephémère”, composed of Grand Corps Malade, Ben Mazué and Gaël Faye, in the category of male artist. Stromae is also nominated in the category best album and best audiovisual creation.
Angèle favorite among women. The Brussels resident is named in three categories: female artist of the year, best album, and she is guaranteed to win the Victory for the most streamed album by an artist. Big winner in 2022 with two awards, Clara Luciani competes once again, notably for the concert and for the song of the year, which was submitted to the public vote until February 9 at 8 p.m..
Who will be the revelations? In women, these are Mentissa, November Ultra and Emma Peters who are nominated. All three affirm their style with pop influences. Among the men, there are four: Jacques, Lujipeka, Tiakola and Pierre de Maere. Either an electro artist, two rappers and a Belgian pop artist.
