Allegations of child prostitution | Two new women point the finger at billionaire Robert Miller

Radio-Canada broadcast two new testimonies on Thursday from women who say they crossed paths with Montreal billionaire Robert Miller when they were minors. One claims to have had several sexual relations with him for payment. The other says that the subject was raised by the businessman but that the discussion was not followed up.

On February 2, the broadcast Investigation revealed that it had collected the testimonies of a dozen women claiming to have had sex for pay with Mr. Miller between 1994 and 2006. Six of them allegedly claimed that they were minors at the time of the events.

The report described a system of recruitment and distribution of gifts as well as money for the girls. Mr. Miller denies the facts “firmly and vehemently”, according to a press release released last week.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) confirms that it investigated this matter between 2008 and 2009. A file was submitted to the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP), but no charges were laid. .

big gifts

In a new report, a woman who testified on condition of anonymity claims she was paid for various sex acts with the billionaire and recruited friends from her high school for this purpose. She explains to Radio-Canada that her meetings with Mr. Miller took place almost exclusively at the Queen-Elizabeth hotel in Montreal, between 2000 and 2003, when she was between 14 and 17 years old.

She says she received gifts as well as money.

The longer it went, the bigger and more important the gifts became.

The woman says she met with SPVM investigators in the past few days to tell her story. A police officer would have reassured her by telling her that the arrest of the girls who had recruited other possible victims was not on the agenda. “I think they will facilitate denunciations,” she told reporters on public television.

Dating in Westmount

Another woman, Julie Dagenais, testifies for her part with her face uncovered within the framework of the same report. She claims to have had a meeting with Robert Miller in a house in Westmount when she was 17, in 2007. She says she received four pairs of shoes of great value as a gift. Mr. Miller allegedly told her that when they next met, they would go further. According to her, he mentioned having sex without a condom, mentioning that he was clean and was being tested for sexually transmitted diseases.

Mme Dagenais says he disclosed the situation to his parents and never returned to the billionaire.

Although he denies having anything to blame himself for, Robert Miller announced that he was resigning from his post as president of the Montreal multinational Future Electronics, last Friday. According to information listed in the Quebec Business Register, Robert Miller and his son Rodney Miller have stepped down as president and directors of the company, but Robert Miller remains the owner of the holding company that owns Future Electronics.

In a statement sent to Radio-Canada, one of his spokespersons repeats that according to the businessman, the women’s allegations are false and “motivated by the lure of profit”. He adds that these allegations would be supported and encouraged by Mr. Miller’s ex-spouse “for strictly pecuniary and financial purposes”.
