Volodymyr Zelensky was applauded in Parliament on Thursday February 9 by the leaders of the 27 member states of the European Union. The Ukrainian president is now waiting for action, and does not want to return to kyiv without being certain of receiving weapons and combat aircraft.

But, for the Ukrainian president, the priority is elsewhere. He especially came to Brussels (Belgium) to claim weapons, and in particular planes. “To survive, we need weapons. France does not make a commitment on the delivery of planes
Earlier in the day, Volodymyr Zelensky went to Parliament, where he was given a long standing ovation by the deputies. The President, Roberta Metsola, asked the 27 Member States “[d’]quickly consider” of “provide long-range weapons” And “airplanes” to Ukraine. Before Brussels, the Ukrainian president stopped Wednesday evening in Paris to discuss it directly with Emmanuel Macron, and the German chancellor Olaf Scholz. The two leaders have promised to intensify their efforts, without making any commitments on aircraft deliveries.
