Brother’s trailer revealed





Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) last fall, Brother, a new film by Canadian director Clement Virgo, will be released in theaters on March 17 in Quebec. A first trailer is unveiled this Wednesday.


Adapted from a novel by Canadian author David Chariandy, Brother follows the daily life of two brothers, sons of Caribbean immigrants, who grow up in Toronto in the middle of the hip-hop scene of the 1990s. The feature film explores themes of masculinity, identity and family. A tragedy will occur and upset the entourage of the two young men.

Brother (33 rpm in French version) stars Lamar Johnson (The Hate U Give, Kings) and Aaron Peter (The Underground Railroad, Old, Krypton) as the two brothers. Kiana Madeira and Marsha Stephanie Blake are also part of the cast of this feature film which has already been presented in several international festivals.
