nothing is going right… for him as for his supposed victims!

A decision that does not please everyone. After a fight waged since March 15, 2021, a complainant in the Patrick Poivre d’Arvor (PPDA) case would not have succeeded in winning her case. Not in the case in which she accuses the ex-journalist of TF1 for the facts that everyone knows, but for the release of a book. Indeed, the biography of the former flagship host of the JT of the first channel could indeed come out according to the information of our colleagues from Release. The book by journalist Romain Verley, published by Fayard, and entitled Black Prince, should be available from this Wednesday, February 8. A decision taken by the 17th chamber of the Paris court.

The journalist would therefore have won his case despite the threat of a suspension of publication because of contested extracts. Indeed, Justine D, one of the plaintiffs in the case in which PPDA is involved, attacked Romain Verley and the publishing house on March 15, 2021, only 48 hours before the date initially scheduled, as our colleagues from Release. The reason ? The woman would have blamed them “to disclose parts of her hearing by the police on March 15, 2021, where the circumstances of the facts she denounces are crudely related”. According to the words of Justine D., and Release, it would never have communicated the details. At least publicly and this “for the sake of preserving his privacy”.

Romain Verley, the journalist who continued his investigation into PPDA

Romain Verley is already the author of a controversial subject on Patrick Poivre d’Arvor. Indeed, in April 2022, France 2 broadcast a report signed by the journalist. A documentary titled “PPDA, the fall of an untouchable”. Subject in which the journalist conducted an investigation into the allegations of sexual assault, harassment and rape directed against PPDA. For this, Romain Verley therefore had to go “to meet” the supposed victims of the journalist. A year later, the journalist’s work is about to see the light of day. A work for which he would have questioned “at least 26 women” who have testified in court to date.

Nearby Parisianthe author of Black Prince also revealed that “Among the complainants, seven suffered from anorexia at the time of their attack”. And in particular one who described “a rape under the big picture of Solenn that hung in her father’s office”. Solenn was the daughter of the former presenter of TF1 who committed suicide at the age of 20 when she suffered in particular from anorexia.
