Are members of the CF2R (French Center for Intelligence Research) conveying a pro-Russian message in the media?
Éric Denécé, Jacques Baud and Alain Rodier are regularly invited to television or radio. They are all three parties of the CF2R (French Center for Intelligence Research), an organization that seems serious at first sight. But when you look closer, you realize that some of the members convey a very pro-Russian one-sided speech. This is particularly the case of Éric Denécé, who has visited the Franco-Russian Dialogue several times, an association co-chaired by RN deputy Thierry Mariani. “If it was Ukrainians who edited it, is that necessarily information, a request that comes from Zelensky?”he asked at the end of April, about the Boutcha massacre.
“We still don’t know what happened in Boutcha”
Journalists from Franceinfo met Éric Denécé in his office to discuss his remarks. He maintains : “We still don’t know what happened in Boutcha”. In reality, meticulous investigations, notably by the New York Times, confirm that it was Russian soldiers who massacred Ukrainians. Éric Denécé is not the only member of the CF2R to be conciliatory with the Russians. There is also Jacques Myard, LR mayor of Maisons-Laffitte (Yvelines). In 2016, for example, he shocked by going to occupied Crimea alongside Thierry Mariani.
