The tour Renaissance by Beyoncé will start in May in Sweden before taking the singer around the world, but not in Quebec.
The announcement of the American singer’s tour comes a few days before the presentation of the Grammy awards gala, where she garnered the most nominations. Already the most decorated female artist at the gala with a harvest of 28 small golden gramophones, this Sunday she could beat the all-time mark set by British-Hungarian conductor Georg Solti, who collected 33 career trophies . His record Renaissance is notably nominated in the Album of the Year category while his songs Break My Soul, Cuff It, Virgo’s Groove and Plastic Off the Sofa were also all nominated.
Beyoncé’s tour will take her to London, Paris, Barcelona, as well as several North American cities – the grand finale will take place in New Orleans on September 27. Toronto (July 8) and Vancouver (September 11) are the only Canadian cities on the agenda. Beyoncé’s last solo tour was in 2016, although she hit the road with hubby Jay Z in 2018.
In addition, tickets will be on sale from February 6, fans must first register through the Verified Fan system, a way to filter buyers who would seek to buy and then resell at a high price.
