For his show Jokes Hat Mom Magic Piano, Pierre-Yves even saw his colleagues Guillaume Girard and Renaud Pettigrew also nominated for Director and Visual Designer of the Year respectively. We could therefore speak of seven nominations in total affecting the comedian.
The coveted Olivier of the Year category will pit Pierre-Yves, Sam Breton, Mathieu Dufour, Christine Morency and Arnaud Soly against each other. A big absentee here? Mike Ward, who still filled the Bell Center and won his Supreme Court case in the last year.
For the comedy show of the year, the nominees are At peak and shovel (Sam Breton), A beautiful evening (Simon Gouache) Classic (Cathy Gauthier), Detour (Guillaume Pineault) and Jokes Hat Mom Magic Piano (Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais).
For Discovery of the Year, the five finalists are Pascal Cameron, Michelle Desrochers, Jean-Michel Martel, Matthieu Pepper and Richardson Zéphir.
