Farrell is the offensive engine of the Harvard Crimsons. The CH 4th round pick in 2020 fattened his personal stats with four assists in a 6-2 win over Cornell on Saturday. He also had an assist in Friday’s 5-4 overtime triumph over Colgate University. In his second season at Harvard, Farrell leads his team in scoring with 34 points (12 goals, 22 assists) in 21 games.
Lane Hutson

Hutson continues his remarkable season offensively. The small defender has already amassed 31 points (9 goals, 22 assists) in 24 games. He sits at the top of the scorers among NCAA defensemen even though he is in his first year. Over the weekend, Hutson had four assists in Boston University’s two wins over Boston College.

The CH had considered offering an emergency recall to Roy, but Kent Hughes finally opted for a center because of the fragile health of Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach and Christian Dvorak. The gold medalist with Team Canada in 2023 and 2022 has a good January with 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists) in 8 games.

Traded from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan to the Gatineau Olympiques on January 6, Kidney has been on another planet since this new start. With Louis Robitaille’s team, he terrorized QMJHL goaltenders with 22 points (6 goals, 16 assists) in just 8 games. He’s on his way to another 100-plus point season with 67 points (20 goals, 47 assists) in 39 games.

Mesar finds itself in a trough since the return of the Junior World Championship. In January, the Slovak failed to regain his offensive touch with just one goal and three assists in 10 games with the Kitchener Rangers. In his last game with the Rangers, the 2022 1st round pick finished -3 and no points in a 6-4 loss to the Erie Otters. He has 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 27 games.

Mailloux hasn’t put his name on the scoresheet in his last four games with the London Knights. However, he fired 13 shots. The Habs’ 2021 first-round pick is having a strong season in London with 31 points (13 goals, 18 assists) in 36 games and a +11 record. Beyond the numbers, the right-handed defender stands out for his robustness and his effective play in his own territory.
