(Cleveland) Lucas Condotta scored the first hat trick of his AHL career as the Laval Rocket defeated the Cleveland Monsters 7-4 on Saturday night.
Condotta’s second goal of the game hurt the Monsters as they came from a 3-2 lead early in the second period. The Rocket forward finally completed his hat trick in an empty net.
Anthony Richard scored twice, Joël Teasdale had a goal and two assists, while Riley McKay rounded out the scoring with a first AHL goal.
The Rocket (17-18-8) snapped a three-game losing streak, but still haven’t lost in regulation in its last seven games (4-0-3).
Cayden Primeau saved 29 of the 33 pucks he faced for the Montreal Canadiens.
Brandon Davidson, Justin Richards, Roman Ahcan and Cole Fonstad replied for the Monsters (16-19-5), who defeated the Rocket in overtime 24 hours ago.
Jet Greaves allowed five goals on 17 shots and was replaced in the second period by Pavel Cajan, who gave up once on four shots in front of the Monsters net.
