The Canadiens announced Friday night that they have urgently recalled prospect Owen Beck from the Petes of Peterborough, in the Ontario Hockey League.
The 18-year-old forward will join the team in Ottawa for Saturday’s game against the Senators.
Beck has 44 points in 37 games this season as a junior.
Remember that the injured list has been very long for the Canadian for a few weeks. Several Laval Rocket players are already with the Habs, who have been playing 11 forwards and 7 defenders for several games.
Beck’s recall probably means there are one or more more injuries. The CH has not confirmed anything yet, but defender Joel Edmundson did not finish Thursday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, while Christian Dvorak spent part of the game in the locker room. The latter was absent from training on Friday.
