An inanimate body bearing marks of violence was found in a dwelling in the borough of Ville-Marie, in Montreal.
The police arrived at the apartment located at the corner of Fullum and De Rouen streets to check the occupant’s state of health following a 911 call.
Officers found an unconscious person at the scene. The victim’s body bore signs of violence. The case is therefore treated as a suspicious death.
“The scene is now protected to allow investigators to do their job,” added Constable Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), without giving further details.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with this event.
