Seven people were killed Monday in two shootings in California that appear to have been perpetrated by the same individual, local broadcasters affiliated with ABC and NBC said.
The alleged perpetrator has been arrested, the San Mateo County Sheriff, near San Francisco, wrote on Twitter. He previously wrote that his officers were responding to “a shooting that resulted in multiple casualties.” He announced that a press conference would be held at approximately 6 p.m. local time.
